Activity Warm-Up: Stretch, Wiggle & Roll

Starting a fine motor activity with a warm-up will help to get the large and small muscles ready to work.  Try this Stretch, Wiggle & Roll routine; it also serves as a transition to the activity session.  

  • Stretch: overhead stretches, arm pushups in the chair, or press palms together
  • Wiggle: shoulders, wrists, fingers
  • Roll: turn palms up and down while keeping elbows bent close to the trunk
