Prevention Power Community Awards

Prevention Power logo

At Capital Health, we know that people – community members – are the most effective ambassadors of promotion and prevention and the most dynamic forces of widespread change. That's why we created the Prevention Power Community Awards program in 2002 to recognize individuals, teams and organizations who are making a difference in our communities.

We thank all residents of the Capital Health region that identified people in their communities who are working to promote health or prevent injuries and disease, and nominated them for the 2004 Prevention Power Community Awards.  Please watch for information on the 2005 awards.

Capital Health believes that health promotion and injury and disease prevention are key aspects of health reform. We know that people – community members – are the most effective ambassadors of promotion and prevention and the most dynamic forces of widespread change. That's why we created the Prevention Power Community Awards program.
