Emerging Research Teams Grant Results

In partnership with the University of Alberta, our staff and physicians are helping patients with an amazing range of new medical treatments, from islet transplantation to robot-assisted, minimally invasive prostate and kidney surgery.
 
Research is an important component of Alberta Health Services - Capital Health's core business.
 
We promote not only basic science research but clinical research, outcomes research and health services research through our work with such academic partners as:
  • the University of Alberta,
  • the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research,
  • the Institute for Health Economics, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research,
  • the Canada Foundation of Innovation, and
  • the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation.
