The University of Alberta, Stollery Children's Hospitals and Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute are fortunate to receive the time, energy and talents of hundreds of dedicated volunteers each year. An integral part of the Hospital team, this vibrant group provides support and services that benefit patients, staff and visitors in over 80 departments. Not only do we reap the benefits of the enthusiasm and support these 800+ individuals offer, but they too experience personal growth and acquire new skills during their time with us.

Requirements:
- Applicants shall:
- be 14 years of age or older. Some areas may have additional minimum age requirements
- have an Interview with a Volunteer Services staff
- submit a Security Check through Volunteer Services. Two pieces of Government issued identification (one with photo) are required for this process.
- provide a Character Reference letter (two Character Reference letters in the case of Pediatrics)
- Volunteers shall undergo Immunization Screening (no fee)
- Volunteers shall attend a General Orientation to Volunteer Services and the site
- Volunteers commit to a minimum of 6 months and 40 hours of service in the same area and same shift
- Skill requirements are based on position. Additional training is required in some areas.
