Every hospital needs enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to provide support with over 25 programs. We are fortunate to have over 225 community volunteers who work in partnership with the hospital and SHAVA (Sturgeon Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Association). SHAVA is a non-profit organization who fundraises through businesses such as the SHAVA Gift Shop (located in the hospital), the SHAVA Bookstore (Grandin Park Plaza) and special events such as the Annual Craft Fair and recycling. Proceeds go towards hospital equipment and special projects.
SHAVA volunteers also provide support services with the Adult Day Program, Caring Clowns, P.A.R.T.Y. Program, Pet Therapy, Pastoral Care, Unit Visitors and host Afternoon Teas for patients and their family members.
