VolunteerOur hundreds of volunteers help to create a friendly environment by generously contributing their time, energy, and talent to the benefit of patients, visitors and staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

As well, Volunteer Resources coordinates an active and vibrant Visual Arts program for patients, visitors and staff.

Requirements:

Applicants shall:

  • Be 16 years of age or older. Some areas may have additional minimum age requirements.
  • Have an Interview with a Volunteer Resources staff.
  • Commit to a minimum of 6 months of active service.
  • Submit a Police Information Check through Volunteer Resources. Two pieces of Government issued identification (one with photo) are required for this process.
  • Provide 2 Character Reference letters, not older than 6 months (preferably professional and not from family members).
  • Undergo Immunization Screening (no fee).
  • Attend a General Orientation to Volunteer Resources at the site.

Skill requirements are based on position. Additional training is required in some areas.
