"As you can probably imagine, having this new expansion named after me is a tremendous honour and a great thrill. Because to me, the Royal Alex has long represented the power of hope... Today, the Royal Alex and the people of Alberta have provided us with a new source of hope, especially for women. Hundreds of Albertans worked very hard to get this project off the ground, and they did so because they wanted to give women from all across western Canada a place where they will receive the very best of care, second-to-none anywhere."
