Volunteering

Volunteers play an important role in our organziation.  Our approximately 130 volunteers are involved in many of our day-to-day programs as well as special, seasonal projects.

Program areas:

Their involvement is pivotal to so many of our programs, including:

  • Nourishment Cart
  • The Gift Shop
  • Meal tray / water jug delivery
  • Delivering donated flowers to in-patients
  • Fundraising
  • Seasonal decorating
  • Greeters in the Emergency Department
  • Delivering the Kindergarten program
  • Flu clinics and Well Child Clinics - Leduc, Beaumont, Thorsby, Warburd and Calmar
  • Driving Home Care clients to medical appointments
  • Visiting

There are numerous opportunities for all ages, (some age restrictions may apply) and we enthusiastically encourage family volunteering.

Requirements:

  • Age twelve and over (some program restrictions apply).  We strongly encourage family volunteering for younger students in some areas.
  • Three to six months commitment
  • Interview
  • Orientation
  • Up-to-date immunization
  • Security Clearance 
  • References
  • Program placement according to demonstrated skills and interests
