About Us

At Leduc Community Hospital, we believe in teamwork. All of our staff members in the various programs and medical units are trained to work together to help patients recuperate as quickly as possible while they're here.  Our physical, occupational, and respiratory therapy programs provide on-site rehabilitation, and work with other units to determine the best care plan for our clients.

We also have an active volunteer program which complements our caring approach to patients and their families.

Many of the hospital's 400 staff not only work in the hospital but also live in the City of Leduc or surrounding towns.

In 2007/08 our staff handled:

  • 25,241 emergency visits
  • 1,958 day-surgeries
  • 1,894 endoscopies
  • 6,415 outpatient visits
  • 1,575 inpatient visits

Throughout the year, students from the University of Alberta's nursing program come to Leduc for their first hospital experience. They work in medicine/surgery, special care and sub-acute units, the emergency department, operating rooms and day surgery.
