Health First Strathcona

Health First Strathcona Primary Care Centre opened in Sherwood Park in February 2004.  The facility was opened to complement the regular care provided by family physicians, by providing after hours care for illness and injuries that cannot wait. The Centre is equipped to handle anything from big bruises to broken bones. 

Staffed with local family doctors and nurses, it's a place you can go for non-emergency care from 5:30 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., seven days a week (effective March 1, 2007). 

Call Capital Health Link first for health advice at 408-LINK (5465).  A registered nurse will assess your situation and direct you to the appropriate level of care.  

The staff at Health First Strathcona are a family physician, a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, a licensed practical nurse/orthopedic technician as well as clerical support. Additional resources will be added as required. Lab and x-ray service is available if needed.
