Can I wash my clothes while I'm a patient here?

Washers and dryers are available on the 3^rd and 4^th floors. Soap is not provided, but can be purchased at the Women's Auxiliary Corner Store. There is no charge to use the washers and dryers.

How can I rent a phone while I'm a patient here?  

To rent an in-room phone, call 780-735-8850. Information cards are available at the information desks and at the nursing units.

What are the visiting hours?

Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., seven days a week.

Do you have a library?

The Patient Family Library is located on Level 0 of GlenEast, Room 0613.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and is closed Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

Books, videos, audiocassettes, and journals on the many conditions treated through the GRH programs may be used in the Library or borrowed. Library Services staff provide professional assistance for staff, patients, and families. Computers are available to search on-line resources.

Women's Auxiliary library is located on Level 3 of GlenWest, Quiet Atrium.

Books and magazines are loaned out on the honour system.

How can I rent a TV while I'm a patient here?

To rent an in-room television, call 780-735-8850.

Can I attend a worship service while I'm a patient here?

For Pastoral Care Services please contact our Pastoral Care Coordinator at 780-735-7999, ext. 2315. There is an Interfaith Worship Service on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in the Quiet Atrium on Level 3. Aboriginal Cultural Helpers are available to make visits and there is an Aboriginal Sweetgrass Ceremony offered on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. in Room 4054. The staff on your unit can also make arrangements for you.

If I have a complaint, whom can I call?

Speak to the manager in charge of the program/service/clinic. The Patient Relations staff is also available to listen and address patient and/or family concerns. If you wish to discuss a concern with Patient Relations, call 780-482-8080. Satisfaction surveys are distributed by inpatient unit staff at the time of the patient's discharge, or can be picked up at either information desk in GlenEast and GlenWest.

Can I book an appointment as an outpatient or do I need a referral? 

You need a doctor's referral for an appointment.
