The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada website includes a healthy living section and interactive tools to evaluate the effects of stress, diet and smoking on your health.

Active Edmonton
Active Edmonton is an initiative promoting physical activity to all Edmonton residents and is funded by mulitple partners, including Capital Health. The website has a local event calendar, a fun zone including tool kits, fall and winter activity section and resource links.

The Dieticians Association of Canada is an association of food and nutrition professionals committed to the health and well-being of Canadians. Their website includes information on contacting dietiticians in your area, frequently asked questions, food factsheets, recipes and other tools to help assess food choices.

Healthy Alberta
HealthyAlberta.com is an Alberta government website that has tips on bringing activity into your daily life. There are also health tips for different populations (children, youth, adults and seniors), workplace tips for employers and employees, as well as a community health challenge.

Healthy Ontario
HealthyOntario.com is an Ontario government website with bi-lingual health information for the general public. The Fitness and Nutrition sections have excellent health tools, such as a waist to hip ratio, body mass index calculator, target heart rate chart, weight to lose, and a calcium counter.

Canadian Health Network
The Canadian Health Network is a health information website funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. The site has information on 26 different health topics, including healthy eating and active living.

Joint Initiatives:
Cheerios and the Heart and Stroke Foundation
The Cheerios website has a Health Check section in partnership with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. It explains healthy cholesteral levels, includes information about trans fats and explains why Cheerios cereal is considered a "Health Check" product.

General Mills and Active Healthy Kids Canada
The Active8 website is a joint initiative between the non-profit organization Active Healthy Kids Canada and General Mills. The website is a curricullum-based physical activity challenge program that has tools for teachers, as well as e-cards, e-certificates, and e-games for those participating in the Activ8 challenge.
