A Million Messages for Seniors Falls Prevention

"A Million Messages for Seniors Falls Prevention" is the development of a package of resources that provide information about falls prevention for older adults. Using illustrated characters key messages about falls prevention are presented to seniors. Information sheets accompany the visual display to provide more detailed information about steps older adults can take to prevent falls.

A tip sheet that provides information about looking after your feet properly and what to look for when purchasing new shoes.

Is a tip sheet on steps that older adults can take to reduce the risk of falling in their own home.

Medication Safety Information Sheet (PDF)
Is a tip sheet that describes the relationship between medications and falls risks and questions that should be asked when starting on any new medications.

Sitting and Standing Information Sheet (PDF)
A tip sheet that provides pointers about sitting, standing and getting out of bed safely.

An information sheet that provides tips for using buses and private vehicles safely.
