Do Bugs Need Drugs?

The University of Alberta's Interdisciplinary 410 Health Team Development Course planning committee want to send interdisciplinary student health teams to Grade 2 classrooms in Edmonton.

Assistance is needed with the initial contact of schools to inform them about the Do Bugs Need Drugs? program and the possibility of a presentation.  Last year schools contacted us directly, after receiving information from the public health nurses.  This worked wonderfully – in fact, we had more schools contact us than we could accommodate!

Presentation Requirements

  • Presentations in the schools must be done on a Tuesday in January.  The dates are tentatively January 23 and January 30, 2007.
  • Due to our students' class time, presentations should occur after 2pm.  I realize the limitations for the schools with their recess time, but we were able to make this accommodation last year.
  • The presentations need to be in place by December 2006.

My contact information is below.  Please do not hesitate to call me or pass my name and number along to interested persons.
