Robbins Pavilion

Robbins Pavillion at Royal AlexThe Robbins Pavilion is a seven storey, 33,450 square metre tower currently under construction on the north side of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Campus, along 111 Avenue.

The Robbins Pavilion, named for Bill and Mary Jo Robbins for their generous financial support, will boast 254 beds. It will house the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, a hospital within a hospital, and the Centre for Cardiac Services.

The Robbins Pavilion will also be home to the Robbins Learning Centre, a 180-seat egg-shaped theatre and three classrooms. The Learning Centre will improve both teaching and research opportunities for physicians and staff and the interactive classrooms will allow for distance learning and teaching.

The Ted and Lois Hole Healing Garden will grace the roof of the first floor on the east side of the Robbins Pavilion, creating an outdoor oasis and a relaxing haven for patients and staff to enjoy. The Robbins Chapel, featuring three stained-glass windows, will provide a quiet refuge for those seeking solace.

The Lois Hole Hospital for Women will help improve access to women's health services in the Capital Health region and surrounding areas including the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.  The hospital will help meet the growing demand for high-risk obstetrics, cancer surgery and variety of specialized services.

Cardiac programs and services including non-surgical cardiac care will be more accessible for patients needing specialized procedures as the Robbins Pavilion will allow services to be consolidated under one roof.
