Clinical Psychology Residency

We are very proud of our consortium, and believe that we have some outstanding opportunities for our residents. All disciplines have a strong commitment to the residency, and work together toward ensuring that this experience is one of the best in North America.

Within Alberta Hospital Edmonton (AHE), Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital (GRH), and University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) we have a strong emphasis on training. Residents are valued members of our discipline. We recognize that residents frequently influence our development as much as we influence theirs. Thus we find that our involvement in the consortium inspires us to become better professionals. After all, if we are to teach residents about excellence in clinical practice, then we must continually challenge and review the ethical, legal, and procedural aspects of the clinical services we provide.

Finally, it is our belief that the person who benefits the most is the consumer of our services – the patient or client. To that end, we welcome residents whose services help us enhance the level of patient care provided at AHE, GRH, and UAH.

Our last site visit was in June 2006 and we were accredited for a five year period by CPA. This accreditation is for residency in clinical psychology. If you have any questions about our Consortium or about the City of Edmonton, feel free to email me. I would be more than pleased to hear from you.
