Capital Health (CH), operating under the Regional Health Authorities Act, has the legislative responsibility for the planning and delivery of health services in Region 6. Under this legislation, CH can either provide services directly or contract with service providers who meet Capital Health requirements. Capital Health enters into Service Agreements for services when net public benefit can be demonstrated. The objective of CH is to ensure that sufficient and appropriate services and resources are provided to improve the health status of the community in Region 6.
