Community Health Councils are advisory bodies appointed by the Board, to provide community perspectives that support Board business planning and strategic direction.
Nine Community Health Councils represent residents in the Alberta Health Services - Capital Health region.

ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES - CAPITAL HEALTH COMMUNITY HEALTH COUNCILS:
Council members are volunteers with strong community linkages. Most have been involved with local groups or organizations where they receive community input on various health issues.
Input from Community Health Councils and other community stakeholders helps the Board to update its business plan and meet the health needs of people in the Alberta Health Services - Capital Health region.
The Board meets regularly with the Community Health Councils to receive recommendations and advice on health needs and priorities. Residents are encouraged to provide input on health planning through their local Community Health Council.
Community Health Council meetings are open to the public and members of the community are welcome to attend. Meeting dates and locations for each Council can be obtained from the:
