"We are building on a tradition of excellence, in partnership with government, health professionals, the University of Alberta and other institutions, with educators and researchers and, of course, with the people we serve in the Capital region and across central and northern Alberta. Input from our staff, the Community Health Councils, and our key stakeholders is an important part of the way we do business." Neil Wilkinson, Chair, Capital Health Board |

In 10 years, Capital Health has grown to be the largest academic health region in Canada. We are the leading medical and health sciences centre in Western Canada. We are the largest employer in Alberta and an economic driver in the Edmonton area.
Our journey has been remarkable in every pillar of service in this integrated health system, from hospital care to care in the community, from preventative care to education and research.
